Exploring Marco Island
There’s plenty of ways to explore our island by land, taking in many wonders from esteemed real estate to the abundant wildlife: burrowing owls, bald eagles and dolphins to name but a few. Walking tours, biking tours, segway and electric trike tours are top picks from locals and visitors alike, and here’s why.
Walking tours come in all shapes and locales on Marco Island. Tigertail Beach guided nature walk (FREE M-F at 830 a.m.) offers 2 hours of exploration and education of the native trees, plants and wildlife. Walking the Everglades is an adventure, which you can self navigate from trails such as the Big Cypress Bend Boardwalk, a beautiful path through old growth cypress and swamplands spanning 2,000 ft long in the Everglades (about a 30 minute ride from us).
For an exhilarating way to tour the historical side of Marco Island, take in the amazing architecture and spot out land loving native wildlife, try taking a trike tour. These three wheel, motorized vessels are fun and safe, offering a smooth and easy ride through our island. Excellent for most ages!
For a more ‘legs on’ experience, try a bike tour. There’s many to choose from, and you’ll make memories in an up close and personal manner from the expansive beautiful flora to the history of the island’s architecture.
However you choose to take in our island, you’re sure to need a comfortably appointed room to retreat to afterwards. We have you covered! Check our offers page for the best rates for fall, winter and the new year, or give us a call: 239.642.2400. We look forward to hosting you!
